Tough start

2011 has proven to have its up and downs. So far school has started and I got a freelance job working on a poster about Canadian voting process for gr. 5 and gr. 10 kids. So in terms of art projects I've been extremely busy. My social life on the other hand hasn't gone very well. Had to endure heartbreak over Christmas and New Years so that wasn't very pleasant. C'est La Vie.

My day at Harbourfront

Today I decided to go out and hang around a Second Cup to do some of my homework, while visiting a friend whom works at Second Cup by the Harbourfront. While I was doing some sketches in my sketchbook for life drawing, a woman and her 5 year old son approached me and asked if I coulddo a sketch of her son to remember their day.
So without hesitation I took up the opportunity and did a fairly simple picture of her son using pencil and my brushpen. I made some small chit chat and learned she was from Russia and stuff just so that it wouldn't be super awkward. I didn't really find my drawing overly accurate but I did it quickly and handed it ba
